About Me

My photo
I'm a simple man, not a simpleton. The worst thing any of our leaders can do is to get those two things confused. I'm a warrior for those things I believe in. I stand up for my friends, family, God, and country. All I truly want is for the government to stay as far out of my life as I can get it. Oh and just in case you haven't guessed it; I'm conservative in my bones.

Barry's Plan to Bankrupt All Of Us

You know, I dearly wish my prognostications were wrong more often. The house gave new meaning to "narrow passage" today as it passed the Cap and Tax..erm...Cap and TRADE bill today. I don't understand how anyone can think to get behind something like this when Barry himself, says that it is going to skyrocket everyones utility bills.

And from all reports today, the phone lines were very nearly on fire with phone calls opposing this bill, as were the emails. Once again our government pretended that the population did not exist and overruled the public will. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we have no chance of getting our government back without throwing the weasles out bodily. We can NOT afford to wait for the next election cycle, as I believe that they will find SOME way to force this through the Senate too.

If you believe Harry Reid, the Cap and Trade bill is a non-starter in the Senate, but I stopped taking Sen. Reid's word on anything. Hang on to your wallets folks! It's all downhill from here. We all know that after the Dems finish patting themselves on the back, they are going to move right into their next frenzied push into Socialism; Universal Healthcare. At some point before the end of the year, you can also expect another liberal push on illegal alien amnesty(Obama: Immigration bill coming soon) and gun control(Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009). They are gonna want to get these through the House before the mid-term election runs begin.

Yes, Obama himself tells us that utility bills will skyrocket, and this is supposed to be a good thing? Unfriekingbelievable!

But don't despair. No... I don't believe Reid, but I Charles Krauthammer has a pretty good head on his shoulders even if he does write for the Washington Post, and he doesn't believe it will pass the Senate either. At any rate, I sure hope he's right!

I'm proud to say that co-sponsor Ed Markey is my rep.

He gets my vote every election.

I've tried to come up with a response for your socialist idiocy, ducky, and after several hours of thinking, all I can come up with is a very tired, "who gives a crap."

Ducky, you are a leftist or socialist, however you want to be described, it comes to the same thing. The fact you'd vote for this is proof positive that you've never tried to look at the proposition with anything remotely resembling an open mind for the consequences.

It simply amazes me that idiots sorry, I mean to say, "progressives" can't look at the failures of other countries and learn from them. New Zealand recently stopped its global warming idiocy. As has Australia. It doesn't work, and there is no, I repeat NO hard evidence that there is any such occurance happening called "global warming". In fact, we've regressed to where we were in the 1930's as far as our temperature avg. is right now.

But hell, don't let the FACTS confuse you ducky, just keep drinking that Koolaid and carrying the water for the people that are trying to disembowel our nation.

I just don't get it. The laws of unintended consequences asserted themselves by the mere mention of this lunacy. The impact on the very people who liberals claim to help will be enormous; poor people and middle class people will get totally screwed by this madness. There are provisions set up so that corporations can trade credits and so forth. Essentially this policy will rid America of the small businessman because nobody can afford to do business unless they are a large corporation. This policy will allow transnational corporations to make even more money skirting the law and raping the American people and basically it will reduce our take home income by even more. Cheers to our President for making us all paupers; even worse than the last one!

Disa, this is EXACTLY the consequences the libs in control are looking for. The more people that they financially break, the more that will have to come to the government for sustanance. This policy has two goals. A HUGE tax hike to fund even more socialism and a gateway to making the population more and more dependant.

Socialism 101.
