About Me

My photo
I'm a simple man, not a simpleton. The worst thing any of our leaders can do is to get those two things confused. I'm a warrior for those things I believe in. I stand up for my friends, family, God, and country. All I truly want is for the government to stay as far out of my life as I can get it. Oh and just in case you haven't guessed it; I'm conservative in my bones.

To Be or Not To Be. Or... Is There A Point To This Blogging Crap?

In the past I've been called all sorts of names for my positions. Admittedly, most of it was from a very few liberal twits that refuse, either due to the sheer volume of weed that they are partaking of or through a true inability to perceive reality, to see the truth of what I, and others like me, say.

However, very early on, I was brought up short on another blog because I commented on the likelihood of armed uprising in this nation. I have also said that I believe that such an uprising is the only possibility of seeing the nation that we love, return. For these views I am relagated to the far right wing fringe and marginalized. However, since the start of the last election cycle, I've not seen ANY good news (the news of Teddy Kennedy's ultimate demise not withstanding) on the conservative front, and I'm even more convinced of the following facts:
  • Socialism and Marxism have roots dug so deep in our country now that no legal action will be able to dig them out. Unless you consider the act of secession a "legal" action. There is some noise about this due to the Feds mutilation of the 10th ammendment.
  • Those of us that hold to our beliefs are too few to carry out a grass roots movement of this type. Mainly, this is due to mainstream America living with their heads under the covers and nto accepting reality for what it is.
  • Forces are massing right now to take even more weapons away from those of us who are law abiding, but discontented with the way the government is heading. Make no mistake, the new balloons being floated by the government on tighter gun control laws have nothing to do with crime control. It is in direct response to members of government seeing the uprising that is coming, and trying to take the teeth out of it. ( do a google search on the Army war colleges findings or Congressmen talking about civil unrest do to economic issues)
  • More and more it is becoming obvious that Obama's intention is NOT to fix the economy, but to reverse all of the things that Reagan accomplished. Barry is insidious in that, given the option of two terms and not progressing with his whole agenda, or one term and pushing through all of his agenda, he'll opt for one term only.

With the obove observations, I've come to question what good we are doing on these blogs. Yes, we connect with people of like mind, and we attempt to educate people as to the things that we see happening, but are we doing any good? I don't think so. Not really. We aren't strong enough to influence those in power.

It is my contention that we need to organize. We need to pull together and form a not-for-profit or PAC that can actually get our voices into the national media or at least syndicated talk radio. Each blogger is a voice that gets drowned out in the noise of our lives. Each of us can inspire one another, but most people don't even see past their own lives, unless someone on the TV or radio tells them to look deeper. For millions of Americans, Paul Harvey was one of those voices. He was very influential and heard by people from coast to coast. Rush Limbaugh has 20 million listeners daily but he is a provocateur by nature. And I'll be the first to tell you that I believe him to be right nearly 100 percent of the time, but he's soft in areas that we can not afford. Sean Hannity might be a voice in the dark, but he's a talking points man and I find it hard to see him as authentic. Glenn Beck is a singular individual. He is pasisonate, and extremely conservative fiscally and socially. But he doesn't have the gravitasse to make national leaders stand up and take notice.

It is going to take something more. Something very like the ACLU in scope, but with the ideology of the Heritage Foundation. There are many small conservative groups but we have to find a way to bring them under one umbrella. If anyone has an idea how we can do this, respond here or email me at Greywolfe226@gmail.com and we'll see what is and is not possible. If heroic efforts are not put forth by every freedom loving man and woman in America, then I do not believe I am overstating it when I say that our only true hope will be in the second coming.

YOu don't have to post this message, but blogging is good because you realize you aren't alone in this world. There are a few bloggers with whom I blog or have blogged that are voices out there in the midst of chaos, Dee from chatterboxchronicles.blogspot.com is one such voice and there are others I cannot think of at the moment. But not only that, it has helped me to come to conclusions that I may not have come to ordinarily.

Watch what you openly say on your blog. The secret police are in many different locations.

Organize to protest? Good idea. But I think the best thing to do would be to stock up your supplies and figure out where you'll be come war time. Because if things continue as they are, we will see serious civil unrest.

I'm with you my friend. This is still our country and we have a Constituionla responsibility to fight what we know is wrong for the Nation.

I'm not quite sure as to what we need to do to organize a blogger PAC, but I know it is possible. Let us both do some research and touch base as we can.

I blog because I have an opinion that I believe is informed and occasionally intelligent. There is a community of people who share one or more of our views and we also learn through the information that is shared. It also facilitates some grassroots efforts, like the "tea parties" Santelli's rant spawned. On Michelle Malkin's site, I've also noticed that John Galt is getting a lot of attention and at rallies people are carrying signs like "Atlas will Shrug."

Let me say a word about armed insurrection. It ain't gonna happen. First of all the government is too big and too pervasive to allow that to be successful. More germanely, we have an electoral process and Barry won, we elected these folks primarily because we were disgusted with what Republicans have become.

We are at a crossroads, a defining moment and our liberty is under threat at the same time our economic security is under pressure. We have a prevaricating socialist in the White House who maintains a high degree of popularity because more of us want to be taken care of by the government than want opportunity and freedom.

As for organizing, there are conservative groups better organized and bloggers with journalistic talent whom we can gather information and potentially throw support behind. There will be an opportunity that presents itself to put a stake in the ground, we are sustaining damage now but it will only sharpen our resolve and as those who are not fully alert to the danger will awaken and join us.

Hang in, keep your eyes open and keep writing.

By the way......the most important thing is speaking out as Conservatives...showing America we are NOT the demons the media and professors have deemed us to be.

We can get NOWHERE when young people say they'd rather die than admit they're a Republican because everyone's so down on that.
THAT was not caused by policies, it was caused by the Saul Alinsky School Obama and much of the Left has followed for years.....demean, belittle, strike first, make sure they look nasty.
It starts with euphemisms like Abortion is "The right to a woman's body" ...bums are "HOMELESS' illegals are "undocumented">

Conservatives come down hard on those things, but with those euphemisms, see how it makes us LOOK!
THIS IS all A PR problem. Before we fix that....don't even worry about thinking up other ideas. our ideas are just FINE.

I'm hoping the fact Beck isn't as vitriolic and acerbic and sometimes NASTY as Ann and Rush can be might just might really be helping...people listen if they're not reminded 100 times how "did I tell you about my new book?" as Ann does. Makes one wonder if she's committed or just selling a book?

I noticed in your intro about standing up for things that God is number 3 and country is 4th. What are you? A Commie pinko? Country should be BEFORE God as any good neocons know..

First I'll give you a tentative welcome to my site Raoul. Next, I would like to point out that I did not say that they were taken in that order. In Fact, if I did put them in order it would be more like this: God, Family, Country, Friends.

Next, I'm not a neocon. I stand for traditional values as set down by our founding documents, as well as writings of our founding Fathers. I don't subscribe to any redefinition of this country or watering of what it was founded on.

Just as with Christianity, there are those that call themselves christians and then want to pick and choose what to believe is Truth. For instance, many people call themselves Christian and then Turn their backs on the issue of abortion even though it is clearly murder.
