A Little Truth. A Very Little Backbone

I know I said that my next post would be a How-to on surviving the upcoming meltdown, but I found this while browsing the news and had to put it in. I'm still researching the afore mentioned topic.


Here's an article I came across that I found immensely entertaining. The reason that I found it entertaining is the timing.RNC accuses Bush of going socialist... First, I'd like to say that I applaud their course of action, the timing makes it as useless as a hammer without a handle. President Bush only has 20 days left in office. Other than smacking his legacy around, this won't stop anything. On the other hand, it may put some starch into those Senate and House GOPers that feel that they need an excuse to stand up for core principles.

Personally, I haven't been happy with much of anything that Bush has done since his decision to enter into Iraq. As a Gulf War vet of the 90's, I was and am, pleased with his ousting of Sadam Hussein, not to mention the very late term abortion of his two demon possessed progeny. He's tried time and again to burden this country with socialist policies. Some of which, sad as it is to say, are contributing to the acceleration of the demise of this country's economy. First, there was Medicare part D (for those libs in California that can't read due to public education's use of Ebonics, that is the free prescription plan), then there comes the bailouts. If ever again I hear a candidate for elected office call himself a compassionate conservative, I will vote for the other guy, I don't care if it's Al Frankin.

So, what comes now? In 20 days, President Elect Obama will be sworn in as our next (shudder) Commander In Chief. I'm a big fan of irony, and I find it very ironic that the man who's about to become the highest law enforcement official in the country is a product of Chicago politics. I wonder what his first hundred days is going to be like? I can't see the Republicans pulling on him what the Dems did when Bush took office. If you remember, they fought tooth and nail to oppose nearly every member of his administration that he appointed. Would be nice if they did, though. It might slow down the hemorrhage that our country's coffers are experiencing. Maybe, what the RNC is doing will give the GOP leadership a little dose of leadership, and help put them on the straight and narrow.

Well, I've been trolling around for any little bit of good news and this is the best I can find. Well, that and the blogs and articles about Israel pounding the butt pudding out of Gaza. It's about time, and past time. And of course, our damnable CIC is playing the liberal again and telling them to back off. Wait, I agree. Israel should back off. Just as soon as those Syrian bastards are back in the desert with their flocks and no longer have the ability or inclination to fire rockets, strap on bombs, or otherwise do anything more aggressive than try to out-haggle the Israelis when selling goat meat.

American Financial Pitfalls

The more I think about the direction we, as a nation, are taking, the more I come closer to accepting that we really have no power to stop it. The deeper I dig, the bleaker our outlook is. Check out this video I found as I was researching our debt. It breaks down our current and future financial woes in ways that I am unable to articulate.




Now, looking at this, I'm sure you can see how I could decide that the focus, for us as conservatives, and where applicable, Christians, should shift from trying to right the course this country is taking, to just trying to come up with ways to survive the coming collapse.

Without armed insurrection, I fear that there is no way for us to retake our government in time to stop the hemorrhage of our financial feasibility. And it is a fact that the American people no longer have, as a group, the will to take the steps necessary to reset this great land and restore it to it's previous glory. And I do not believe we have the ability to withstand what is coming with the new administration and leadership of the Congress.

My next posts will be on what I believe is coming and how I think we can try to weather it. I hope that all of you had a good Christmas. I surely did. But it is now time to resume the good fight and get back into the ring.

Further proof of Bush's treachery

I was going through some of the inane puff pieces on our new president elect (sigh) and accidentally stumbled on this, Bush's latest if not least, attack on American Heroes Ramos and Compean: Bush springs drug dealers, leaves border agents to rot.

I'll be very honest with you. the only thing I believe these guys did wrong is not aiming for center mass like they were taught. After he returns to private life, I hope I never have to hear from Bush again. And God have mercy on his corrupt heart if I ever run across him. All the secret service help in the world won't keep me from knocking him on his ass.

The idea that he'd let these people loose and leave two warriors for our nation in prison makes my blood boil. God bless you men. Your president may have forgotten his soul and you, but we haven't.

The Stage Is Set For Magog's War

I'm pretty sure that every one knows that, when it comes to this nation, I'm a warrior in my bones. That almost goes without saying if you read my blogs or know me personally. However, I have a faith in the Lord that overshadows my love for this nation like an old oak over a banzai tree. As much as I love this country, I have to admit that no where in the bible can I find any reference to America, even in abstract, in any prophecy. So, what does that mean, exactly? Well, for me, it means two things: First, it means that at some point this dear country will fail and pass away. This is the way of all societies and it will happen here also. If you look at the events that have overtaken our nation and economy this last year or so, you and I, probably, have decided that that end is coming soon. Or will, if our course is not changed soon. And second, our failure as a nation removes the last superpower and paves the way for the next phase in prophecy.

The thing that all Christians look forward to is the second coming of Christ, and the rapture of the church, of course. However, there are a lot of dark things coming before any of that can come to pass. And before any of the tribulation prophecies is the prophecy of the war of Gog and Magog, in the book of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. It speaks of Magog attacking Israel with the help of many nations. Among them Persia, or modern day Iran.

It sets the historical "season" by saying in ezek. 38:8 "After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them."

Who is Magog? Well, the prophecy in Eze. 38: 2 names the "prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal". Identifying these names has been very difficult until now because there were no names in former history to relate these names to. However, we have today two cities that look and sound very much like these two names. In the case of "Meshech",Moscow. In the case of "Tubal", Tobolsk. And in the case of "Rosh", Russia. There are many scholars today who feel that these are accurate transliterations of these names. Identification of these three names is further strengthened by the fact that Eze.38:15 states the geographic location of them--the land of the north. If one takes a world map and draws a line north starting at Jerusalem, the line will proceed straight through Moscow.

Also, Ezekiel 38 uses the specific name of this northern commander to come against Israel in the latter years. The name of this commander that will attack Israel is the "prince of Rosh" in verse two. It doesn't call for the Soviet Union, but 'Rosh". Arguably, this prophetic stage was set when the Soviet empire started to collapse. The Soviet Union was forced to give up many of its satellite countries and the Soviet Union ceased to exist. What is left today is Russia, and it is Russia, or "Rosh", that is predicted to come against Israel, not the Soviet Union! The prophetic stage is perfectly set now as far as this name is concerned.

The good news is that the good guys win. But here's the thing to watch for. All nations that attack Israel will be destroyed utterly by fire. Not just their armies, but every city, town and village. They will be obliterated completely.

My honest belief is that this is coming very soon. The stage is being set by our downfall and the continuing military and economic accords between Russia and Iran (Rosh and Persia?). Not to mention the other supporting countries that are still in tight with Russia and Iran. The next few years are going to be very interesting for Greywolfe, the Christian warrior. And very scary for Greywolfe, the patriot.

God bless you all and I hope this is food for thought. I felt that since this week brings a celebration of the first coming of the Messiah. I'd give my little glimpse into what is coming that leads to His return.

The Good, The Bad, and The Oh. My. God.

First off, it is starting to look like the biggest jokers in the nation can be found in the wonderfully inept state of Minnesota. Is there anyone who actually thinks that Al Franken is winning without the help of several hundred dead people, and or their pets? It's the year of "Chicago Politics".

Every one's favorite Democrat in hiding, G.W. Bush has announced his Bailout for the big 3. And once again, the Government gets a "stake" in each company that takes it up on the offered loans. I was heartened to see that Ford, at least, said no thanks. I'm getting so sick of what is happening in Washington, that I'm beginning to wonder if a terrorist attack on the Capital wouldn't be the best thing for the entire country's economy. They should spray that town for weasels. Starting at the Congress and going straight to the White house.

The last two interesting pieces that I found today are, the California Attorney General won't do his job so Ken Starr is coming to the people's rescue, to defend the constitutional amendment. Great place you folks have out there. Makes me wish we'd go ahead and piss off china really bad. Thanks to your guy, Clinton, the Chinese can hit the left coast with their nukes.

And lastly, we who call ourselves conservative, have been vindicated by a "veteran" psychologist. Traditionally, the psychiatric community has been shown to be very liberal, which is why when I read this piece "Veteran psychiatrist calls liberals mentally ill Publishes extensive study on 'Psychological Causes of Political Madness'--WND" in worldnet daily, I had to read it. Apparently, we were right about ducky all along. He is crazy.

A new idea for me.

I've seen, on another blog, a weekly radio broadcast site and have decided to look into it as a suppliment for what I do here. It would be a way for me to focus what I write and at the same time use the broadcast to cover the events of the week and get my voice out to a larger audience. I know that TV is out of the question, as I know that I may have the personality for it but a face that was made for radio, so I will be investigating it and hopefully will have a link on my site by the end of today.

I have come to value many of your opinions and would like you to give me your honest advice beforehand and then as I progress. I would ask that you help me improve my performances with honest feedback.

The Islamic World and Their War With Us.

There are more points of view about this topic than any rational person can shake a stick at. It runs the gambit from appeasers that think it's all our fault, to those that think that after 9/11 afganistan should have been turned into a glass parking lot with a 7-11 in the middle. To be followed immediately by any country that decided to take great offense at it.

So, which is the right answer? Well, let's take a looksee at the facts and see what we can figure out about our "friends" in the Islamic world. First, I'll concede for those that will immediately say, "But wolfe, but wolfe, They're not ALL trying to kill us!" Fine, that is true. But insofar as they are not doing anything to take back their "peaceful" religion, they are still a part of the problem.

Now how to best illustrate for you people how dangerous this situation is... I thought about posting all of the different postings and news articles that I've seen on blogs and news agencies but to be honest, they blur together after a time. Instead I'm going to put up a series of videos linked from youtube. It's a documentary from an insider's point of view. Watch all of them. Then tell me we don't have problems.

After watching this video documentary, If you can then give me a logical reason to not iradicate any Islamic that raises a weapon against us with allah akbar on his lips, I would love to know what drugs you are taking, because it definately works. You can't tell your friends from your enemies any longer.

ThreeCheers for Senate Republicans

Recent weather reports confirm it.... Hell hath frozen over! The Republicans in the Senate have killed the possibility of another bailout. Auto Bailout Dies in Senate.. Now the only option left if they want to do anything to help the UAW is to use some of the money that they have already stolen... er.... appropriated for other bailouts to prop the big 3 up.

So the good news is, our will is done for the remainder of this year and no new debt has been incurred. Bad news is, they may do an end run around us by using previously stolen money to get the job done.

In this, I will look to the positive side. The Republicans have decided to reach between their collective legs and squeeze out a bit of testosterone and stand up for the country. Only took them 8 years. Better late than never.

In Defense (afore hand) of Revolt

Let's, just for a moment, pretend that our worst case scenarios about the upcoming president all comes true. It is now 3 years later and Barry has instituted his new health care policies, raised taxes on business both small and large, and instituted all of his social reform policies, such as the civilian defense force and the Fairness Doctrine.

He has come into our homes and taken law abiding citizens' weapons and imposed limits on the cars that we can now build or buy in America. If all these things come pass, then the complete collapse of the American economy is imminent.

Now you hear of riots and assassinations of elected officials and left wing pundants. The revolution has begun!

Now for the question of the day? With the above hostile actions from the government, are we justified in overthrowing our current government and restarting our republic?

My personal opinion is, yes. And our founders thought so too. For instance, here's a couple of quotes I came across that I thought were particularly apropos:

James Wilson (a signer of the Declaration and the Constitution, an original Justice on the U. S. Supreme Court and the father of the first organized legal training in America), explained in to his law students more about defensive rights:

How Far Will We Fall?

Well, the powers that be have all but done it again. They've gotten the rough draft for the bail out of the auto workers union.... er, I mean, the auto industry, hammered out and delivered to the presidency. Once again, I heard the words "equity shares" thrown out like a trial balloon and I swear it took the better part of a roll of duct tape to keep my head from exploding.

Back when they bailed out the insurance companies and then the banks, we said, "OK. That's as far as we go." Then they hit us with the housing industry debacle, and we said it again. Now they're about to rape us a third time for the auto industry and I think that America has finally, said, "Fine. You're not listening anyways, so do what you want!" I hear the same old voices crying foul but where is the hue and cry from main street? Why aren't the phones burning out their wiring from being called constantly.

I long for the "Shining City on the Hill" that Ronald Reagan described and fought for, but the farther along we go, the more I expect to see a red flag with a hammer and sickle, pulled up in place of old glory.

Barry announced his plan to start the largest infrastructure rebuilding plan since WWII and he's already telegraphed his intention to bull through his socialization of the health care industry. The banking and housing industries are, for good or ill, already in the clutches of the government, and the auto industry has shown that they will hike their collective skirts for a payday. So what's next? I foresee a bailout of the liberal media, next. And we're going to get little anorexic cars pushed down our throats, whether we want them or not.

Meanwhile, I'm listening to most if not all of the right wing radio hosts and I hear over and over again, people who are ready to shoot elected officials in an armed uprising. Truthfully, I'm nearly there myself. I have come to the realization that we the people, have lost control over our own government. The government has become that which our Forefathers fought against.

Here's my question of the day: What will be your trigger? What will the government have to take away in order for you to commit everything to the idea of resetting the great experiment and putting it back on track? With all frankness, I have to say that the only thing that keeps me from flying completely off the hook is my family. In the beginning of every revolt, the people who are later heralded as heroes, are at first called criminals. I cannot, yet, do that to my families. I'm not even sure what my threshold is, but I know it approaches.

America the Christian Nation- The Argument

I have been told, recently, that America was not a Christian nation. Also, I was told that we, as Christians, are a minority. I decided to do more research into an area that I already had a familiarity with, our birth as a nation.
This is going to be the only post that I will openly say that there will be rules to comments that are allowed to be posted here. If you have an argument, then you MUST show proof of claims. I will not allow speculation or emotional arguments. I will provide proofs to everything that I claim as Truth.

Firstly, I should go back to the beginnings. What was the motivation for the people that originally came to America? The original colonists were made up of people that came to America for the purpose of preserving their religous beliefs. They were in opposition to the Church of England and knew that the only way for them to be able to worship and live as they believed was to leave and move to Amsterdam. Due to an inability to understand and integrate into life in the Netherlands led the Pilgrims to leave and with the help of English investors, created the first colonies in the New World. The centerpiece of the colonists government was a belief in God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. -paraphrased from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilgrims.

Now lets skip forward to something that is, perhaps more germane, our Founding Fathers. If you look at the religous affiliations of the Signers of the Declaration of Independance and the Constitution of the United States, you will find that every one of them were listed as being a member of one of several different Christian denominations. If must needs, I can list at least 18 different men who were either signers of the Constitution or Declaration of Independance and quote them and their feelings of faith. Furthermore, just so there is no mistake, and this being the week after Thanksgiving, I feel that it is appropriate to post the text of the Continental Congress November 1, 1777 national Thanksgiving Day Proclamation; as printed in the Journals of Congress.

"Forasmuch as it is the indispensable duty of all men to adore the superintending providence of Almighty God; to acknowledge with gratitude their obligation to him for benefits received, and to implore such farther blessings as they stand in need of; and it having pleased him in his abundant mercy not only to continue to us the innumerable bounties of his common providence, but also smile upon us in the prosecution of a just and necessary war, for the defense and establishment of our unalienable rights and liberties; particularly in that he hath been pleased in so great a measure to prosper the means used for the support of our troops and to crown our arms with most signal success:

Be Thankful for your jobs

The next time you have a bad day at work or on the golf course…think of this guy. Rob is a commercial saturation diver for Global Divers in Louisiana. He performs underwater repairs on offshore drilling rigs. Below is an e-mail he sent to his sister. She then sent it to Laughline, who was sponsoring a “worst job experience” contest. Needless to say, she won.
“Just another note from your bottom-dwelling brother… Last week I had bad day at the office. I know you’ve been feeling down lately at work, so I thought I would share my experience with you to make you realize it’s not so bad after all.
“Before I can tell you what happened to me, I first must bore you with a few technicalities of my job. As you know, my office lies at the bottom of the sea. I wear a suit to the office. It’s a wetsuit. This time of year, the water is quite cool. So what we do to keep warm is this: We have a diesel powered industrial water heater. This $20,000 piece of shit sucks the water out of the sea. It heats it to a delightful temperature. It then pumps it down to the diver through a garden hose, which is taped to the air hose.
“Now this sounds like a damn good plan, and I’ve used it several times with no complaints. What I do, when I get to the bottom and start working, is I take the hose and stuff it down the back of my wetsuit. This floods my whole suit with warm water. It’s like working in a Jacuzzi.
“Everything was going well until all of a sudden, my ass started to itch. So, of course, I scratched it. This only made things worse. Within a few seconds my ass started to burn. I pulled the hose out from my back, but the damage was done. In agony, I realized what had happened. The hot water machine had sucked up a jellyfish and pumped it into my suit. Now since I don’t have any hair on my back, the jellyfish couldn’t stick to it. However, the crack of my ass was not as fortunate. When I scratched what I thought was an itch, I was actually grinding the jellyfish into my ass.
“I informed the dive supervisor of my problem over the communicator. His instructions were unclear due to the fact that he, along with 5 other divers, were all laughing hysterically. Needless to say I aborted the dive. I was instructed to make 3 agonizing in-water decompression stops totaling 35 minutes before I could reach the surface to begin my chamber dry decompression.
“When I arrived at the surface, I was wearing nothing but my brass helmet. As I climbed out of the water, the medic, with tears of laughter running down his face, handed me a tube of cream and told me to rub it on my ass as soon as I got in the chamber. The cream put the fire out, but I couldn’t shit for 2 days because my asshole was swollen shut.”
So, next time you’re having a bad day at work, or on the golf course, think about how much worse it would be if you had a jellyfish shoved up your ass.

The Foundation of the Great Experiment

People I am sitting here at my desk trying to figure out what has me so pissed off about so many of the things I've read on the net in the last couple of days. I think I may have figured it out. For weeks now I've heard people (mostly neo-con pundits and left wing propagandists) say that Reagan conservatism is dead. Then I do myself a large favor and find all of these wonderful people on the net that I have so much in common with, in so many ways, and with a few exceptions, they believe most of what I do, but other than a vague sense that things should be "this way", they really can't tell me why they believe the country should go on a certain path.

Worse are those that give lip service to founding principles but then hedge when it comes to a topic that makes them uncomfortable. Prop 8 in California is a good example. I've got people sending me emails that are so dead set against it as a civil rights violation. How can this even be debated with a straight face? (no pun intended) To try to make it a civil rights issue you have to completely ignore the purpose that marriage has served and what it was for. Procreation of the species and the education and protection of the same. Nothing else. All of the other narcissistic arguments to the contrary, that is what marriage was ordained by God to accomplish. It wasn't set up to be a symbol of love. Hell, for most of human history, marriages were arranged affairs and the couple didn't have spit to say about it.

But it goes farther than that. Our public education system has succeeded in teaching our youth a completely backward view of our history and the so-called enlightened among us, will not allow themselves to be taught the truth. They are comfortable with excepting deviant behaviors to be paraded in front of us while the boy scouts are touted as a hate-teaching organization, and efforts to keep them off of Government land that are traditional retreat/camping areas for the boy scouts, in an attempt to force them to give over their ideals and moral beliefs. They get themselves so worked up and full of rage because some of us have a very clear moral compass and so we have no problem passing judgement on a behavior that is anathema to our beliefs. But the argument on Homosexual "rights" isn't even a cause for alarm. It's a symptom of the disinformation and dissolving of our soul as a nation. Moral equivelancy was injected into our society when our moral and religious backing was stripped away in the last 60 years. For over 300 years our forefathers lived on this land and had a very clear idea of how the country should be governed and our children taught. The tragedy is that what are children are being taught is a complete bastardization of actual events.

I could write for days and days without stopping on the founding principles and how, if we would just get back to them without ommitting those values that we find uncomfortable, we would find ourselves prosperous and powerful beyond anything yet imagined. Instead I'm going to turn you on to a couple of websites. I hope that each and every one of you will go to them and read for yourselves the truths that our forefathers already knew. Very nearly everything that plagues our society has been covered by our founders if we just look into their words and works of the day.

The heritage foundation and the National Rifle Association are the two organizations outside of my church that I belong to. I gave up my Republican membership when they gave up my principles.

Finally, let me say this; Stop being afraid of standing for Truth. I capitalize it because it is indeed an entity unto itself. In this day and age, the belief in an absolute truth is frowned upon because it forces you to make judgement calls on everything. Learn to except that Truth does not change and is not really subjective. Our enemies try to make it subjective because the blackness that eats at their souls is easier to hide if they keep society from shedding light on it.

Opportunities For The New Media

A few days ago, on another blog, it was being discussed how we could compete/take over the main stream media. Several thought that it would require us finding funds that would allow us to take over the existing news networks, or failing that, to start one of our own. My inclination, was to support alternative sources for the news and information. This morning, as I was browsing through the Drudge Report, I found this little gem POLL: Most Consider Web Most Reliable Source of News... . If the mainstream media is being drowned out by internet and talk radio already, I say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." We know that the Internet and talk radio does have an impact. We just need to capitalize on that.

If any of my friends that read this, and I consider all of you to be friends, have any ideas how we can organize and maximize our impact, please send me your ideas. If I can be of service in implementing them, I'll give it the ol' college try. I do firmly believe that if we are going to take this country back from the socialists and social leeches, we are going to have to make our voice louder and more persuasive.

Bush pardons 14 and commutes 2 prison sentences

Here's a topic that is a sore spot for me. He is handing out these "get out of jail free" cards to petty criminals and considering pardons for outright crooks (see also, politicians) and leaving two border guards rotting in prison for doing their jobs. Ramos and Compean are heroes and warriors that have been betrayed by their country. If they did anything wrong by shooting that drug dealer, it was that they did not shoot as they were taught. To kill. I've been trained using FBI firearms training and they teach you to shoot center mass and keep pulling the trigger till the action stops.

I've never been a fan of Bush's border policy. Mostly in that he doesn't have a border policy. Or if he does, it favors the Mexican's rights over ours. If there isn't a pardon for Ramos and Compean, then I'll be damned if I will ever support another Bush for any office other than dog catcher.

Conservative Ideals. A one stop shop.

This is the best I've ever heard it put into words. I heard this some time back and was spell bound right up to the end. Here's my hope. I hope that within 1 week there isn't a conservative blog that doesn't have this video on their page. Tell me you can find it said better somewhere else. Let's see if we can get this out there.

My Sacred Duty.

I am guilty of writing political opinions on here and I have been told that when I write these that it turns some people off. That my personal writings would be preferable. I would like to take a moment to explain why I'm dedicated to writing political pieces on here even if NO ONE reads them.

First of all, it's my duty to my country to fight for it any way I can. As an American its my obligation to try to make this the best place I can for my children to grow up in. I can't help but write about the justice or injustice that I see or encounter through my interactions with other people or the different media outlets that take raw information and grind and process and squeeze out the sausage they call news. There are too many forces at work in this country that are determined to undermine our society. To paraphrase a very famous man; all it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing. This is one of the ways that I avoid doing nothing. Voting is another. The problem is that I can't help but look at my fellow citizens and notice that so many of us live with our head under a rock. "My vote doesn't matter." "Awww, they don't listen to us in Washington so why should I give a damn?" Sound familiar? Well, I can say point blank they do listen when enough of us get off our lazy duffs and bother to contact them. For instance, Pres. Bush recently sided with (God help us!) Teddy Kennedy and a whole lot of others in congress to try to push through an amnesty bill for illegals in our country. What happened? They got so many calls and emails that the communications systems in the capitol got overloaded and shut down. They do listen. But you've got to be willing to beat them between the eyes with an axe handle to get their attention. Think about it and join in. Hell, more people watch the Superbowl every year than vote for Pres./Congress.

The other reason I try to get a point or two across on here to you people is because its expected of me by God. No he didn't come down and slap me in the back of the head and say, "Hey knucklehead! write something already!" What he did say in his Bible is that we are to be stewards of the things he gives us. Jesus said that ALL authority is given by the father. Our founding papers say that this is a government for the people, of the people, and by the people. So its on OUR authority that decisions are made. So if that authority is given us by God, then it is our duty as Christians to try to uphold the standards of this country and try to take it back to the things that made it a great country to begin with. To put the truth back in our national motto: In God We Trust.

I submit that since it is our duty to do this, that if I stopped putting on here what I believed both as a Christian and a conservative patriot, I would be sinning against God. As I believe all those that are members of this great republic are when they turn their destiny over to someone in Congress without holding them accountable.

War of Ideas

The fact that I've got people like chuck, Joe, and Pasadena reaching out to me, does give me hope. I do hold out hope that our country CAN be turned around. But I fear that there will be a cost in blood to get it accomplished.

This is not because I think Social and fiscal conservatives are going to push it to that point. I think that the level of gutteral hatred that the left has for us is what will do it. They have blood in the water and are just looking for a reason to escalate the confrontation. From one end of this country to the other, leftists scream and attack christians and conservatives in ways that would have been unheard of at any other decade in our history.

At times when we take a stand and push back their corrupting agendas (prop 8 for instance) the hatred comes out and spews accross the country. Look at what they did to that poor old church lady that just went out to calmly have her say. She was physically accosted and shouted down. Freedom of speech is only tolerated by the left when it's their views being presented. If you dissent then you're a bigot and racist.This type of hatred does not go away. This type of rage will only increase the more people like those of us on this blog and others like it, continue to bring the truths to the light of day.

Soon, very soon in my humble opinion, we will have a demonstration that will shed blood. If by some miracle the California Supreme Court decides to do the right thing and uphold a LEGAL CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Then you will see a LOT of blood in California. From there it will spread. A pundant wrote a book once called "Liberalism is a mental disorder". To me, I see it more as a disease. It spreads and infects others with the hate that is necessary to even TRY to justify the acts it perpetrates. Class envy, Racism, Social relativism are all tools that the left uses to propogate their hate. What I see happening to our society is akin to watching a person at the edge of hysteria. You have to shock an hysterical person with a slap to get them to think again. What shock will it take to bring our thoughts back to reason and away from the madness that is growing.

...All enemies both foreign and domestic

Well, lately I've been hit with several thought streams that have been coming from different directions, but have some very disturbing things in common. I'm going to try to sort through some of them and hopefully get to some factual conclusions. I'm not at all sure of where the conclusions will run as I'm still trying to work some of it out in my head. Some of this will undoubtedly get bad reviews. Good as long as the arguments are coherent and not hate-filled tripe.

Also, understand that I am of two completely different minds about these topics. On one hand I am a patriot and warrior for my convictions. On the other I'm a Christian and self-educated prophecy scholar(Judeo-Christian philosophy only. All others need not apply). From these two points of view I see two very different outcomes and feel differently about them. I'll tackle the second point of view first as it's probably the easiest and shortest to come to grips with. I will say that a battle rages inside me every day because the things I believe are not always compatible with what I value.

From a Christian perspective, America is a hoar. Pure and simple. She started out in her youth with promise and a bright future, if only the people kept the will to remain true to it's founding. All social injustices that were here before the constitution would have eventually taken care of themselves because in the light of that good document, evil could not prevail. Hypocrisy was not a tolerated social trait back then. At some point, slavery, women's suffrage, and equal rights would have been corrected in due course. However, as this young lady of a country grew she was courted by those with ulterior motives. They did not like the fact that this young country put a light squarely on their inconsistencies and flaws. So they sought to corrupt her and did this by flattery and coercion. They supported men of questionable character, throughout her adolescence and those men turned the face of this country farther and farther from the light of moral and spiritual truth. Now she wears a scarlet letter branded into her forehead and emblazoned on her breast. She stands for nothing and gives only lip service to her fathers. She kills her young in the millions and tells her almighty Father that he has no place in her life. She's lost her way and it is inescapable that scripture NEVER mentions America in it's prophecies for a reason.

My personal belief is that America will not recover. Our most powerful days are behind us because we have turned our eyes from those things that were the foundation stones of this country. We've used moral equivalence to weaken the mortar between the stones of our Union. We've weakened the national will through government handouts and dependency and place our Father on the same shelf as Santa and the tooth fairy. Yes, I do believe in redemption, but I do not hold out hope for it.


Now for my point of view as a patriot. I see attacks on our constitution and our founding fathers' vision for our country in every corner of our society. A free press is necessary to a free society when it is true to it's responsibilities. But our press has become biased AGAINST the constitution and has come to support those things that all of our immigrants came here to escape. Socialism, Marxism, Communism. All different names and faces of the same evils. These evils have allowed most of Europe to be over-run by ethnic groups whose religious beliefs demand that all non-muslims be converted by word or sword or they must be killed. In many areas in Europe the native populace is being outnumbered by Muslims. This is due to the rapid decrease in birth rates throughout Europe. The important thing to acknowledge is that the decrease in birth rates correlates directly to the decrease in the devout christian membership. Find the country that has turned the farthest from God and you'll find the lowest birth rate. Muslims on the other hand, are quite devout and breed like rats.

Open borders in the European Union have destroyed whatever chance that those countries might have had to salvage some portion of their sovereignty. They are being flooded with immigrants from the middle east and are beyond any hope of regaining their own lands. The Press and liberals in our government, in open accord with groups like moveon.org and the N.O.W. as well as other groups that have been attacking first one then another of our foundations as bigoted and racist, are pushing for our country to open up and join the "Global Community". It makes my hackles rise. So far we've kept it from happening by social means alone. But I think that our enemies have had a longer range vision than we conservatives have.

OK, let's look at recent history. In 2005 G.W. Bush signed the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. This agreement is argued to be the precursor to the North American Union. This could never come about if America were doing as well as we have been over the last few decades. Now we have had a perfect storm of events happening, some of which is either the product of gross incompetence or by design of our government. All of these crises AND their attempted fixes have only succeeded in further degrading the American dollar and increasing our national debt to a critical level. If allowed to continue the interest on our debt will be so high that it will become unserviceable. We won't even be able to make the minimum payments on the interest alone. When that happens, the dollar will cease to have any value as a currency. In a state of emergency like that, I look for the benevolent governments of Mexico, Canada, and of course the USA to say that in order to put things back into balance and provide for a renewed period of economic growth a new North American Union will have to be formed. Some of this is speculation on my part. Most is not... Lou Dobbs has covered it and so has (I believe) MSNBC. Glenn Beck has been screaming for months on CNN about the possibility.

Every time an election comes up, voter fraud gets worse and worse and more and more slanted to the left. And more and more the governments in those states do not do all that they must to keep it from happening or to minimize the impact upon elections. This current election cycle was the worst I've ever heard of. 10's of thousands of instances of voter regestration fraud in over 13 states. How many state elections are being stolen by groups like ACORN. In the first draft of the 700Billion dollar bailout 20% would go to groups like ACORN. My conspiracy antennae went up again. How can we think that so many individual events could happen in such a short time period without some form of concerted effort to make them happen.

Now for the hard part. Hypothetically speaking, of course: If our government is systematically sabotaging our country and our Constitution, what recourse do we the people have? If corrupt government funded but private organizations taint the elections if not outright stealing them, and sympathetic state governments turn a boldly blind eye to it, removing our voice in government, what is left for us to do? Do we just roll over and take it? Or do we do the unthinkable and take back our government in the same manner that it was taken from the English? Who would be willing to do the unthinkable? If the government came to your house for your weapons, without you committing a crime, would you force them to kill you to take them? If they said you could no longer post blogs of this nature, would you do it, still, if it meant prison? Would you be willing to spill blood on the Capitol steps to take back what is being ripped from your country? If yes, what would the trigger have to be? We all say we love this country, and our freedoms. How much? Could we win? Is that even a relevant question?

Personally, I am not at all sure that we could win such a fight. In fact, only if the military decided that the government was in violation of their oath of service and therefore either stand aside or assist in such an overthrow, would there be a chance of winning. Not to say, of course, that I wouldn't fight, and die, for my freedoms. I would die, but more importantly, if it came to that, I would fight, kill, and live. That would be the hard part. For in the beginning, the founders were called traitors. They were called criminals and had bounties placed upon their heads.

Well, this has been my little slice of insanity tonight. Please give me your honest appraisal of what I have put on here. I could show clips of the newscasts but they are easily found with a google search. Feel free to use the one on this page. Good luck and God bless. Once again I hope I'm wrong, but unfortunately, I've been more accurate than is good for my emotional health.

Manifesto

This work is to serve as a reference and manifesto for those things which I as a patriot and avowed conservative believe and hold dear. Let there be no mistake, these are sacred principles to myself and like minded individuals:

1. Semper fidelis priores - Always faithful to our forefathers. The forefathers of this great land gave us the two most important papers ever written in the history of governance of the human race: The declaration of independence and the Constitution of the United States. These two works have provided for our liberties and shackled the government's ability to oppress and enslave (as ALL governments are want to do) for over 200 years. If we are faithful to these documents, then we will continue to prosper.

2. We acknowledge the fact that this country was founded on Judeo-Christian ideals and beliefs. Separation of Church and state is a myth. I do not believe, nor do ANY true conservatives, that we should ever have a theocracy (government of a state by immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided). We should, instead be governed by men who hold freedoms dear and take a clear lead from God in the way things should be done. It has been said of America, by liberals mainly, that we must have a "wall of separation of church and state" due to this being a pluralistic society. Those ideas are some of the foundations of the cancer that has been eating at the core of our society. As a conservative, I call for a return to the founders' dream of an educated, moral, and God-fearing society.

3. People should stand on their own. To thrive or fail is every one's choice. It is not up to the government to prop up people or companies that do not work. In a free market and a free society, natural law will always provide for strength in our economy and our society. If a company cannot maintain then it must be allowed to fail. Will it be painful in some cases? Yes. Will the survivors of such an event learn from it and make a stronger company? Absolutely. The same can be said of individuals. Only those that cannot provide for themselves in any way should be taken care of by the government. Food stamps, AFDC, Child tax credits, and Earned income Tax Credits are welfare. They are methods of taking money from those that produce and giving it to those that do not. This is patently unfair and socialist. If you take from those that produce, you take away their ability to create further wealth by reducing the proceeds of their hard work, you take away their incentive to try. This disables the ability for small business and those that would dream to start a small business to create jobs and wealth.

4. The right to bear arms is NOT a hunter's rights issue. The 2nd amendment was to provide for the security of a citizen's home and his freedom. It was the one right guaranteed in the Constitution that was designed first and foremost as a protection against a tyrannical government. It was put into the constitution with the clear purpose of granting the People the ability to wage war on said government. You simply cannot do that with dear rifles and 12 ga. shotguns. Those that would trim or outright cut that right, fight against the freedoms that we hold dear because they do not believe that each and every American has the right and ability to rule themselves and decide how their lives will go. And it is this, above all else, that we must be steadfast in opposing, even to our last breaths.

5. Conclusion: We the people of the United States, in Order to reform a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do make it a solemn and sacred mission for ourselves and those that believe as we do, to protect the Constitution from liberal Judges and corrupt politicians whose continued dominance in elected offices means more than the social, religious, and economic freedoms and sovereignty this country was, is , and forever will be founded on. To this end, we will use all methods granted by the Constitution and Declaration of Independence to pursue it. For those that love this country and the dream that it was to become, we are the strongest of supporters. To those that would tear down our standing and strengths by trying to inject the failed policies and social mores of countries that our founders and countless members of subsequent generations have fled from, we will be a thorn to your foot. We will be every bit as ruthless and dedicated to the just Cause of Liberty as those that have fought and died for over 200 years to protect it have been. We will meet you in the press and in the ballot box. We will meet you in the streets and in meeting halls. We will meet you in Courts and in Congress and in the last defense of our nation, in killing fields.

This is my Manifesto. All those that agree, feel free to add your name. All those that oppose feel free to disregard it as you have all social, fiscal and legal conservatives. The reckoning will come at any rate.

crazy right wing rant.

Here's a daily dose of liberal hypocracy. There's a man who put up A Yard Sign Stating “free public hanging” of Obama, Pelosi, Kerry and Sharpton~ Free Speech? and the libs are up in arms. And by the way, they've sent in the Secret Service to check this old guy out.

Here's a quick quiz. How many people remember the book about assassinating Pres. Bush? Or how about the movie with the same topic? Don't remember if there were any calls by the socialist left to have the Secret Service, FBI or any other law enforcement agency, check those out. He's not shouting fire in a crowded building, he's making a political statement.

Just to be clear, I do not necessarily agree with his statement. At least not yet. I'll have to reserve judgement based on how much they try to attack the Constitution. If they make a real try at abridging the Constitution, then and only then will I be willing to entertain the thought of someone killing a sitting President or any other member of the Government.

In support of this I would just say that as a former member of the Army I took an oath that states, ""I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;..." Only after this does the oath visit the commands of the President and officers placed over me. To me and many others, this indicates that the first and foremost duty of the service men and women is to support and defend the Constitution. All other duties are secondary. If an order violates the law, it is invalid. If a Government betrays it's Constitution, it too is invalid.

Hitler...er...I mean Obama youth program.

Ok. See, this is the kind of thing that scares me spitless. I just read this in WorldNetDaily's report entitled, Web faux pas: Plan leaked for 'civilian security force' . It's a plan that the Socialist-in-Chief-elect Obama has said he will make MANDITORY!

Let's rewind back to the 1920's and 30's. Hitler started a program for the youth of Germany, designed to indoctrinate the youth of that time in his stance on anti-semitism and Aryan supremacy. Now I'm not saying he's gonna teach kids the supremacy of any race over another. Good Lord I hope not. However, I do think socialist ideals would indeed be pushed down their throats. And it would be another place where the government, not parents, get a say in how children are raised. And this is the program that he would institute starting in middle school and making it a requirement through college.

Lastly, Down toward the bottom of the article it talks about the need for a civilian national security force." Taking in all of his other socialist ideas, and the admitted gut reaction I have for them, it's probably not a hard sell for me to equate this with the Nazi SS. Like the SS, Obama's Civilian Security Force would be as large and as well funded as the Military. What would be the scope of their power? What would their mission be? And what protections would we have against them seeing as they would not be considered Military or Law Enforcement. If they are "civilian" then the constitutional protections against law enforcement and military encroachment on civil liberties would not necessarily be applicable.

Am I the only one who can see a future where sons in a socialist youth program turn in fathers as seditionists to a government that uses a "civilian security force" to police such people up for re-education and indoctrination to a more politically correct mindset? At the heart of it, I suppose this is the future I've seen coming from Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barry Obama. He's giving us his vision of the future in little bites. He knows that if he does it in small bites, the liberal media and the left wing nuts will swallow it all and force feed it to the rest of us.

Our chickens are coming home ....to roost!

Well, right now I'm looking at the projected results of the election and I have to say that it's looking bleak. No. Bleak doesn't even come close. I really don't see how McCain pulls this off unless ALL the pundants are wrong and after the 2000 debacle I can't see them making the same mistakes again. So as it stands right now, Obama is 53 short of the election being over. McCain is 156 short.

Forgive me if I don't break into "Hail to the Chief". I am tasting a surprising amount of bile in the back of my throat at the very thought of a confirmed if not admitted socialist in the whitehouse. From this point on EVERY freedom we have abridged for us, we will have earned. We, who profess to love life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, will have put a man in office that will push abortion "rights" to new lows, institute the "fairness doctrine", and make it impossible for small businesses to prosper and make it impossible for middle class people to start new small businesses. Mark me, if he institutes most if not all the things he's proposed we're headed for another depression. And socialism on a scale not seen since "the new deal".

And just in case everyone that voted against McCain, for whatever reason, wants to cry. Shut your pie hole. You earned this. I've found a company that prints I told you so buttons and I'm ready to provide shipping to anyone that wants to about higher taxes, lost rights, lousy end to the war, or wall street hitting 5k.

I know, I sound angry. Trust me, that word doesn't even come close.

Well, I stepped away and looked back at the tv and found that McCain was giving his consession speech. Now we all see if the prognostications that I have posted here will be made fact or fiction. Will my rantings prove out? Or will Obama renounce his socialist background.

Time will tell. And I've got a wheel barrow full of "I told you so!!!" signs to hand out. But God as my witness, I hope that I was wrong about this man.

Random Thoughts the 5 Days Before

Well, we're just 5 short days before the citizens of the United States go to the polls and decide whether or not we are to remain a society based on individual rights and a government "limited" by the constitution, or rather, we will become a pseudo-socialist society with the peoples' rights being limited by the government. I wish I could tell you that I was confident in the wisdom of the American people but I would have to be as big a liar as Barney Frank or Nancy Pelosi to pull that off.

The fact is, I'm scared. I have been looking at the actions of the people of this country and I truly have no faith in them, at this point, that they will do the right thing. They have abandoned reason for blind faith in a cult of personality. They have given up their freedoms for empty promises in the past and are showing a growing propensity to continue in the same path towards some ethereal utopia, where the government takes care of us from cradle to grave. Already, the weakness of our mindset and the push for globalization of business and finance has caused the country that came up with nearly every invention that allowed for the industrial revolution to dismantle its manufacturing infrastructure and become reliant on traditional enemies for our most basic items for construction, manufacture, food, and even a good 85% of our supplies in our house.

I'm sitting here staring at a pro American hat that has a made in China label. In 1929, when the country started down into recession, the government raised taxes and we immediately fell further into depression. Tax hikes weren't the ONLY cause but it certainly accelerated things. Protectionist policies were another set of gremlins that helped dismantle our countries financial outlook.

So, here we are, 79 years later and we are about to inaugurate a man that has already said he plans to socialize a good deal of our lives. He is talking about redistribution of wealth from those that make it to those that don't. He's talking about a trillion dollars in new spending and taxing the job creators to pay for it. And we as Americans are going to be complicit in every bill that he signs that tightens the rope on our throat.

We've got 5 days to decide whether or not we're going to be a society based on freedom and opportunity or on dependence and subservience to our government. I do hope that I am just suffering from depression caused by negative ads, however, what is , is. I don't try to believe something is true just to make myself feel better. Guess we'll just have to vote and watch.

Third World Politics in a First World Nation

I feel like I'm watching a third world country try to pull off its very first election instead of the oldest democratic republic in the world try for the 44th Presidential election in over 200 years of voting. What in the world is going on? Acorn and their ilk have guaranteed that we will have another election just like the one 8 years ago. Endless recounts followed by several states asking the courts to intervene, right up to and including the Supreme Court.

It amazes me that those on the left, who are always crying about how we're undermining "some one's" rights, are so quick to just shrug off the blatant fraud that is being perpetrated in at least 13 states. I'm ashamed to say that the reason that they aren't saying anything is because the person that is being helped by all this is Obama. What is it about this man that makes people excuse anything done, regardless at how morally reprehensible it is, just to get him into office.

I've done what I've heard the talking heads on TV and in the radio say they do. I ask people why they are voting for Obama. Granted, I'm in a small rural town of about 7,000 (not counting students in college) and that probably taints the validity of my sample, somewhat, however, Not one person that I talk to can name anything, specifically, that he has done. And yet, millions of people are willing to prostitute their integrity for him.

I have given up the idea that we can win this election fairly, no matter what McCain does. I'm afraid of what is going to happen to our country given that both houses are looking to become filibuster proof and no chance of a Presidential veto. I wonder how much it will take. How many of our liberties and freedoms will have to be revoked in order for Americans to take back our government? I hope to God that force will not be needed to get this wonderful place back on track to being the place that I love in my mind, however, I don't see any hope of the insanity to fade on its own.

Understand that I am not lobbying for an armed overthrow of the government. I just see the frustration getting to that point very soon. I guess we all have to make choices. I wonder where you will come down?

Political Prostitutes

Good Lord above, where does one start? How many people involved with government, or even private politics, currently have any self-esteem? I mean, how can you get down on your knees in front of anyone with a chance at power, just so you can try and make points with them. Pick a news network and I'll show you a LOT of people that have to wipe their chins every time Barry Obama says anything, no matter how inane the statement might be.

How many people will follow a "cult of personality" just because their (the politician, preacher, pope, etc., etc.) personality happens to be stronger than theirs(citizen). My God in Heaven! As a society we've become nothing but a bunch of lemmings. We make no decisions for ourselves. Instead we run to the first person that says, "Don't worry! I and my administration will provide "A" "B" "C" for you and you won't have to bother with it. (insert your socialist policy of choice for the letters). What was it that started the watering down of the American blood? What was it that weakened our spines and took self reliance away from us? Was it the "New Deal"? I honestly want to know. Have we merely become subject to a repeat of the history of all the rest of the great societies(Rome, Greece, Egypt)? Have we run the course that is defined by our human failings and are unable to go beyond without first having our freedoms and rights taken from us?

Complicit in this fall are all the politicians, talking heads, reporters, "journalists", and celebrities that parade themselves in front of us demanding that ALL ideas are equal. That ALL points of view (except those of the founders) are valid. These "useful idiots", as Lenin called them, yell and scream that social and fiscal conservatives are racists and hate mongers. That we would kill the old and deprive the young of food. I find it hard to credit that they even believe the tripe that they spew. All of this is for the ability to make themselves feel morally superior. Or in a vast number of cases they just want to increase their power base by feeding off of the ready number of people that, through previous attempts to push socialist ideas, feel like someone should feel sorry for them as "victims". These last are not hard to find in any city, state, or federal governmental body. Look for those that see their power as a right. Look for those that are entrenched in their position of authority. These people will say whatever they must, destroy anyone they must, to further their power and position.

Our Federal Congress is full to bursting with the refuse of our political gene pool. Nothing will change (God knows I hate that word now) until ALL of them are removed, term limits are instituted and we are able to burn them out and start over.

Hollywood and the mainstream media have become a blight on our nation's image. I find it horrible that these people are kept on the screen by our money. Unfortunately no one since the Dixie Chicks has been told to "just shut up and sing!!!" or act, or report. Stop trying to be the news and just report it. Make movies but keep your insane, disconnected, mentally atrophied, Marxist ideas to yourself.

Election draws near. or... For whom the Bell Tolls...

Well, we're less than two weeks away from changing, officially, to a socialist country. God bless Joe the plumber for getting Obama to openly state, for the record, that he is a socialist. Not one talk show either on radio or TV could get him to fess up. It took a middle class worker to cut to the heart of the matter. Will it matter at the polls? From the polls I saw, McCain is indeed making hay out of it, but I'm not sure how well it will work. If it will be enough to push him out front in the final stretch of this race, is something that we will have to wait on Obama's record breaking number of lawyers to finish their challenges to know.

I've been thinking about which American institutions will be the first to go after the 1st of the year, and I've come to some disturbing conclusions. First, the free market is toast. We've already seen what Nancy Pelosi and her ilk are want to do, socialize, socialize, socialize. Our medical system (yes the same one that Europeans and Canadians continually come here to utilize because their own socialized system is broken) will be taken over by the government. When the backlog of patients start and people start getting vociferous in their complaints to talk radio or conservative TV, then the fairness doctrine will be brought back. There goes freedom of speech. Next, will be the 2nd Amendment. There will be a constitutional amendment to repeal that because the very far right wingers (yes my hand is raised on this one) will start to wonder if the blood of patriots being spilled will be the only recourse left to us in taking back our country. (never fear! I don't believe that there are enough people left who's blood is thick enough to pull it off.) From there, we'll be told that under no circumstances should we mention Christ in public as it will offend non-Christians and will be considered hate-speech. Before too long I expect someone will decide that our sovereignty is an outdated notion and we will start down the road to an American Union with Mexico and Canada. Instead of the U.S. Dollar it will be the Peso-dollar or some-such.

I give us another 75 rears until our full societal collapse. Rome, Greece, and in fact all great societies fell as their freedoms and faiths were eroded from inside out. We may be 200 years in being absorbed into either Mexico or Canada, but it will happen.

Death of a Free Republic

Today I write to tell you of the terrible illness that has swept into our great republic. It is a cancer founded in political correctness, sloth, and cowardice, as well as the greed and power mongering of the Washington elite. It is, I am afraid, a fatal cancer of the core values and strengths that brought us to the highest points in the history of human kind.

It started not too very recently, but remained, if not dormant then hidden, eating away at the defensive immunities that our founders had placed in this great society at its conception. Like mother's milk, our founders tried to pass on their understanding and thereby protect us from illnesses and evils by preaching and teaching that ours was to be a Godly country; founded on Christian principles and mores. They fought to make a country that would stand like a shining city on a hill, as President Reagan said, to show all peoples what a free God-fearing country could become. They charged us to hold this great land with their ideals and we have forsaken our sacred duty. We have allowed the failed beliefs of failed nations to creep into our country and take root like a virus. Like a viral infection, this disease will take its course and we have no defense against it. Most people don't even recognize the symptoms of the illness. Those things that dissolve the bone structure of our nation are seen as aid and help in times of struggle.

Let me be more clear in the different aspects of this disease. It started in 1947 with a putrid finding by the Supreme Court on the false idea of the separation of church and state. From this ruling all further break downs in the social mores of our country can be traced. Next was the introduction of socialist policies under the "New Deal". These policies can honestly be argued to have prolonged the Great Depression, instead of, as liberal historians would have us believe, ending it. As evil as it was, WWII was the reason for the end of the Great Depression. Sloth, on the part of conservative people, has caused us to let others make the decisions that effect the course of our lives and those of our future born. Greed makes us ask for hand outs from the government and makes us dependant on that government for our daily bread and shelter from the time we are born to the time we die. Cowardice causes us to shy away from the good fight because we don't want to have our peers look down on us as extremists. Extremism in a just cause is not a vice. It is a responsibility. It is a Duty. Now we allow our children to kill their children so as not to "punish them with a baby" for their mistakes. No longer do we look to ourselves when our lives do not pan out, instead we look to others who we perceive, thanks to our politicians and the media, are holding us down and interfering with our success.

Our founders told us that the policies of socialism are evil. The Federalist papers as well as other period documents and letters by our founders show clearly that the government was never to wield the powers that it now does. In 1773 our fathers stood in protest against unfair taxation and wealth redistribution that was happening in the early colonies. Knowing that they were in open rebellion against, not a peace loving democracy, but a brutal monarchy, they still voiced their anger and refused to fold under the incredible pressures and punishments handed down by the crown. In the end, they revolted and fought for their freedom.

Now, little more than 230 years have passed, and its almost inconceivable that we are the descendants of those great men. Those great souls that must weep if not for the guarantee of freedom from pain and sadness in the here-after. All they fought for is now dying. Our country's only social fighters are those that argue and struggle to roll back our rights and those of the helpless. They would guarantee a woman's right to kill a child up to the day it came out of its own accord. They would deny that life any defense or human label other than fetus. We lose more and more of our humanity and we wonder why our youth kill themselves and each other in our schools.

Our government now has started socializing our private industries in the name of stabilizing the economy. The government CAUSED this crisis. Their corruption and power mongering is what guaranteed that this would happen. They knew it was coming and now they run around telling us that they must act, and it must be NOW! They have increased, in one week, our federal budget by over 20%. This is an increase directly to our national debt. It is a debt our children's children's children will have no hope to pay off. God help us.

But then, why should he? We have abandoned him and his teachings. We have not only said that we don't know him, we say that we aren't interested in knowing him. He will not help us. Not if he was willing for the Jews to suffer outside of their own homeland for 2000 years before restoring them. What chance have we? None. I don't know if the final death will take another 50 years or it may take the 8 years that Obama will rule. Please note the intentional use of rule instead of serve. Either way, the disease, be it a form of cancer or sexually transmitted disease, was self-given and if we survive, the cure will have to be self administered and painful. If not then we go into the long night of our own accord. Just like Rome and Greece before us.

Foxes Cleaning the Chicken Coop

Never so true a statement has ever been made as the title of this rant. The very people that are now busting everyone in the chops for voting against the financial bailout bill (thank God!) are the very ones that blocked the regulators from doing their jobs or taking action on information brought to congress in 2004.

Now, those same sad-sacks are telling us that they have the answers... All we have to do is try to choke down the 700 billion dollars that bailing out the banks would take.

They are the ones telling us, also, that the reason that all this is happening is because of Corporate greed on Wall Street. Truth is, they had the opportunity to stop it 4 years ago and didn't. In fact, this was a time bomb set by Jimmy Carter and then primed by Congress in '94. Well, the bomb has gone off. Now we have to decide how much more of our private sector we're willing to let the government steal. They are systematically taking more and more companies over and more and more companies are showing up at the Capitol steps with their little tin cups, hoping for more of the free money that Congress has decided to spend. Too bad all that money belongs to US.

How many people out there are truly surprised that this has turned into a political event, rather than the joining of forces of the statesmen in each party that it was supposed to be? Come on! After they politicized our troops' efforts and tried time and again to wave the white flag and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, are you truly surprised that they would go this route with a financial emergency? I'm not. Nothing that group of bottom feeding mud suckers do will ever surprise me. With the possible exception of the remote possibility that they might, some day, try to do the right thing. Just once. No... I didn't hold out much hope either.

On the positive side, there is more and more strength being found in the phrase "We the people..." This is the third time the American people have stood up and said, "I really don't think so. Trust me. It's not gonna happen!" First time we exercised our power was the Harriet Myers nomination by G. W. Bush to the supreme court in 2005. Next was the Dubai Ports deal that they tried to cram down our throats in 2006. And finally, we have this travesty of a deal that, once again, they have tried to ram down our throats. Huzzah to all who have been calling, emailing, and writing your congressmen. Keep it up because they will try again, trust me.

Financial Meltdown: Then and Now.

I feel like I am waking up this week in September 1929, instead of 2008. Major financial institutions are failing and the government is going to unprecedented lengths and depths (into our pockets) to head off a financial meltdown that could be on the scale of October 1929. Most of the problems then, at least, couldn't be laid at the feet of our benevolent government.

The major underlying cause of the Great Depression is that we had grown faster in our ability to produce than to consume. Technology had made production grow faster than wage earners and farmers could buy. At the same time, the savings of the middle and upper class was being drawn into out of control speculation in the stock market and real estate. When the implosion of the stock market occurred it was the first of many triggers that would send the American economy into a spiral that would take 10 years to come out of.

The stock market crash sent the banking industry into the tank and resulted on a run on all banks. The first thing the government did was to close all banks and not allow them to reopen unless they were solvent. That was just after the election that resulted in F. D. Roosevelt becoming president, and that resulted in the New Deal and the start of the socialist movement in the Unites States as a permanent policy.

That was then. This is now. The thing that is similar between now and then is the fact that companies that have engaged in frantic speculation are getting hosed, again. The problem is, unlike last time when the government interceded on behalf of the common man, now the government is interceding on behalf of the very companies that have put us in danger with their greed ridden policies. If you haven't kept count we've had three different major bail outs. First was the Citi-bank bail out by Dubai. Then you had the government take over Indy Mac due to a run on the bank. Next was the take overs of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, the price tag of which is still in question. Now we have a bail out of AIG, which some say has merely postponed the depression-like fall that is still on the horizon. It was that big a deal.

The other thing that similar is that the government is not monitoring financial institutions. In the cases of Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac the lack of monitoring and regulation was more of an active blocking of the regulators from doing their jobs. At one point, there was even a filibuster to block it. Now our Federal government owns a new bank, two mortage brokers and a major insurance company. Starting to get closer and closer to the socialist model of the old USSR.

Is anyone, besides me, scared totally out of their minds?

Wizard's First Rule-- Art Explains Politics

One of my favorite authors, Terry Goodkind, wrote a series called "The Sword of Truth". The first book in the series is called "Wizard's First Rule". It's amazing to me how astute the observations, of politics and human nature, that are found in this book have turned out to be. I'm currently listening to it as an audio book. Being a truck driver gives me lots of time to listen. At any rate, the premise for the title is that the wizard's first rule is the most important rule of all, "People are stupid." That statement is one of the most profound that I've ever encountered. And I know that the people that read this are immediately offended and have their back up at such a statement. To that I must ask that you just here me out and think about what I have to say. Then we'll apply it to the current events and you tell me if I'm that far off the mark.

First of all, the rule that states "People are stupid" illustrates how easy people are to control given the right circumstances. Given the proper motivation people will believe almost anything. They will believe a lie because they want to believe it IS true, or because the fear it MIGHT be true. People's heads are full of facts, beliefs, and knowledge. Most of which are patently false, but that they believe to be true. They can rarely tell the difference between a lie and a truth but are confident that they can, indeed, tell the difference. Therefore, they are all the more easily fooled. They need an enemy to give them a sense of purpose. It's easier to lead people if they have a sense of purpose. A sense of purpose is more important, by far, to ruling than the truth. In fact, truth has almost no bearing in it.

OK. So now let's put this into context with our lives, right here, and right now. Look at the political campaigns. Each side is saying "OOH those EVIL Conservatives ...." or "OOH those damnable Liberals want...." Because we WANT to believe that our side is right and the other wrong we believe almost anything that gets spewed at us in their respective talking points. Most don't even know how to question. For most people, a sense of purpose is more important than the truth, they will gladly accept a lie if it gives them a sense of purpose. Often the truth is hard to sell because it gives no sense of purpose. Black liberation theology is a very good example. Most people don't question. They believe what they are told because they want to believe or are afraid something MIGHT be true, and for most people the truth isn't what's important; it's the cause that's important.

Successful leaders give their followers a cause (change, change, change! sound familiar?) to rally behind. In this way, politicians get elected, countries are freed from oppression and are born, and despots lead armies into genocide. People will do whatever is necessary for "The Cause", because they are given a sense of purpose. The term that fits the most successful of these leaders is "Cult of Personality". They use charisma and lies to suck people into their cause. They pull people in by playing on people's fear, guilt, or pride and once a person joins "The Cause" they tend to absorb and regurgitate the party line and ignore or rebuff anything that tries to interject truth. Mostly, because they don't WANT to be proven that they are wrong. I've noticed lately, that the most ardent believers in supposed free speech and equality have in recent years become the most militant in suppressing opposing views. They resort to violence, individually, and demand state-sponsored censorship of opposing views, collectively.

I personally find it interesting how often art imitates life. Or goes a long way to explaining it. As I listened to Mr. Goodkind's book today, the above opinion came to me in what I would almost call an epiphany. From now on, I hope that regardless of the side you are on, you find yourself filtering what you hear. Learn to question what they say. Do research and don't just accept what you are given.

9/11 relived

Every year I watch or listen to some account of the 9/11 attacks. Every year I am brought to my knees with grief and loss. Each year I relive where I was and what I was doing. For seven years now I have continued to watch, continued to commemorate the brave people that died in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.. I will continue to do so for as long as our men and women fight against the religious radicals that continue to perpetrate their evil and hateful attacks on peoples around the world that reject their form of religion.
Currently I'm watching the History Channel's revisiting of the 9/11 attacks in New York and their description of how and why the Twin Towers and World Trade 7 fell. Again I feel those days creeping back up in my mind. Again I remember the phone call from my wife telling me that we have been attacked. I remember my disbelief and shock as I turned on the news at my Mother-in-law's house and watched as the building's burned and fell. I remember hearing that a plane had hit the Pentagon and I kept thinking, "HOW!?!?" I remember hearing, later, that a plane had been taken down by passengers in a Pennsylvania field. All I felt was shock that first day. I just couldn't bring myself to believe that it had actually happened. I didn't sleep that night at all. The next day, was when the rage set in. I called my wife at work and told her that I was planning on going back into the Army. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on whether you talk to me or my family, they rejected me because prior service people are held to higher physical requirements than are new recruits. I was full of rage at the people that I couldn't fight. These people that dared to attack my people. Innocent people that were just trying to live their lives. It was two more days before I finally went to sleep. It was over two months before I got over the depression that followed the rage. Apparently, I don't do helpless well.
Well, here we are, seven years later, and I still don't handle this day well. There are those in the media that would have the videos of that day locked away never to be viewed. Personally, I feel that we should see it at least once a month. It should be forced home that just as we had to fight for freedom in the past, we must do so again. And we must not blink in the face of absolute evil. That is one lesson I hope that this country has learned. Learn it, and then live it. And whatever you do, don't forget the ones that died in those buildings, on the planes or in DC. And don't forget why they died.
